Zodiac

June 21st, 2007 at 05:55 am

Okay so I'm a bit late but I watched Zodiac last night and it was just brilliant.

I have to say it was The. Best. Movie I have seen in a *looooonng* time and I'm a huge movie buff so I don't say that sort of thing lightly. Totally blew all the other summer blockbusters away.

Spidy 3, Pirates 3, Shrek 3 = blown away

The movie was scary, intense, had very good flow (no dull moments), was very well-thought out, great acting/directing, and was really suspenseful (it was extremely suspenseful for me because I walked into the theatre without knowing anything abt the story or background whatsoever.)

If you haven't seen it yet, I urge you to go catch it asap

My only word of caution: its extremely long (close to 3 hours???) so get a seat close to the loo.

Smile

And purely for the sake of including something money-related - it was the best $10 I've spent in a while.

What’s a Little Money Between Friends?

January 7th, 2007 at 06:14 am

Its a bit of a lazy Sunday for me. I'm just watching Season 2 of the Office (UK) and checking my e-mail. I've spent nothing this weekend, which is really great and I must do more often Smile

I also came across some interesting articles in NYmag's special Money edition. There's no actual budget or saving advice, but its an interesting read, nonetheless.

Practical Money Skills for Life

If you've got some time to burn, this is a pretty fun site about learning how to manage money. (Warning: Some of the games are a little kiddish, but I highly recommend "Count Down to Retirement". Its pretty funny.)

Happyland Adventures

I played this several years ago, but I remember it as being incredibly fun to play and quite addictive. Best of all its free and no registration required. (The company makes several free games available but Happyland is by far the best.)

Mysterynet

Okay, I'm a bit of a kid and I like mysteries. Eventhough I can't solve any, its still fun to try and see the answer at the end. I recommend the "see-n-solve".

Ok I'll stop now.
